12th Man in the Seattle Skyline

  The skyline of downtown Seattle features a large 12 (a tribute to the 12th Man of the Seattle Seahawks) created in the windows of the Russell Investments Center building. The Seahawks play against the New Orleans Saints January 11 in an NFL playoff game at Century Link Field.

  New Years morning, 2014, saw hundreds of swimmers take on a cold winter morning for the annual Alki Beach Polar Bear swim in West Seattle.

  During the winter, early mornings often find Seattle blanketed in a shroud of fog. A stop at Hamilton Viewpoint Park at the north end of West Seattle yields good views of the city.

The past few weeks have seen a seemingly endless amount of fog in the Seattle area. The dreary weather didn’t seem to faze this person riding a standup paddle board off Alki, in West Seattle.

  I recently had the opportunity to visit the top of the Space Needle for a job, and while there, shot this image of a Washington State Ferry approaching the Duwamish Head at Alki, West Seattle.
